Dance/Movement groups in Groningen (in English and in Dutch)
I'm involved with three types of sessions for adults in Groningen:
Dansimprovisatie: Vier keer per jaar komen wij samen in Edanz om te dansen, begeleid door de groepsleden.

Introduction to Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) and an Authentic Movement Peer Practice Group.
If you want to learn about what DMT and Authentic Movement (AM) entail, or make a practical try out and discuss your experience in a private session, or together with others who are interested in the connection between body, movement and language, please fill out the form above.
Each AM session will consist of a creative movement and sensory awareness based warm-up, followed by some forms of AM practice, such as solo, dyad, triad, breathing circle, long circle. The movement experience is consolidated verbally and sometimes by writing, reading, and time allowing, other forms of creative arts.
No specific experience is needed although Dansimprovisatie, AM and DMT ask for a readiness to be open to movement and stillness and witnessing yourself and if in a group, also others. The facilitation will be mainly in Dutch.

'ICANDANCE'

I Can Dance is een creatief dansvorm waarin kinderen met en zonder beperking bewegen en dansen. Familieleden en helpers zijn ook welkom. Danservaring is niet nodig, iedereen met zijn vaardigheden is van harte welkom. De bedoeling is dat we samen gaan dansen en nieuwe bewegingen leren.
